Our Approach

We may not use the same catchy slogans as some of the other gyms you've heard of, but you still won't find judgement here. We pride ourselves in welcoming members at all stages of their fitness journey. Every member is unique, with a personal story and distinctive circumstances that brought them to where they are today. We're delighted to be part of developing where they'll be tomorrow!

Our Story

After 20 years of being in a depressing and unhealthy environment, Joe (a retired correctional officer) decided to use his passion for fitness to better people's lives. From that passion came Balanced Fitness as it is today!

Joe Pusateri

Founder & Lead Trainer

Our fearless leader is a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist that can help you tackle any fitness challenge. Certified by NASM, he uses his love for helping people to teach and motivate members at every stage of their fitness journey. Readily accessible and always with an open door, be sure to stop by and say "hi" when you're in the gym!

Gina Wilson

Group Fitness Instructor

As one of our group fitness instructors, Gina brings energy and excitement to class every time. Join her for any one of the yoga, PiYo or pilates classes she teaches and see why members can't get enough of her sessions!

Rebekah Thomas

Certified Personal Trainer

As part of our personal training team, Rebekah helps members develop and achieve their fitness goals. Certified by NASM, as a personal trainer who specializes in corrective exercise.  Rebekah also is a Fitness and Nutrition Coach and always brings a gentle, yet firm, approach to sessions that will keep you coming back for more!

Ann Monahan

Aquatics Instructor

Aquatics instructor Ann Monahan, has certifications in ACE Fitness & ACE Health Coaches. Ann offers group water aerobics, aquatic sports rehabilitation, Ai Chi,  aquatic therapy and injury rehab, as well as a variety of swim lessons for all ages.  Monthly schedule available on Facebook at @empoweredswimming

Constance Morgan

Aquatics Instructor

Responsible for all things aquatic, Constance helps members mix up traditional gym workouts with group classes and helps them feel more comfortable in the water through group and/or private swim lessons. Certified by AAAI and ISMA, she'll keep you energized and motivated in the pool.
